The Utility Garden

This garden, an essential part of an 18th century countryside home, comprises:   
 
  • An ice-house surmounted by a pyramid : used to store the ice from the ponds in winter so as to prepare ices and sorbets for the summer. 

  • A fish-pond : trout and other fresh-water fish   
  • A rare water dovecote, with 1400 dove-holes
