The Formal Garden
A strictly classical lay-out of traditional borders designed to be seen from the upper floor and satisfy the eye with a sense of balance. An extensive view is dominated by the lake, the box hedges and the springs and fountains, and closed by an arcade of greenery with the hills of the Pays d'Auge in the distance.
