The Topiary Garden

One of the themes of the gardens of Vendeuvre is dedicated to the topiary art, the art to cut trees and small trees to give them a shape.

Those shapes can be architectural, by creating formal borders, flowerbeds, green rooms, mazes, snails.

The topiary art consists especially in creating the most amazing natural sculptures, either for isolated species, or for trees or small trees in groups.

The topiary borders, are mainly formed with buxus, charms, yews, osmantus, juniperus, laurels whom bring structured punctuations in a landscaped garden, particularly appreciated in cold season for their persistent leaves.
