The Hall and main staircase

The hall is a strictly-proportioned reception area in graeco-roman style with six Ionic semi-columns in stone. 

The staircase is, to use the contemporary expression "of noble proportions". Beautiful wrought-iron balustrade and trompe-l'oeil landscape decoration on the walls. The welcoming atmosphere is further heightened by automatons in the form of musicians.
